Bird Walks are geared for the beginner/intermediate birders looking for an introduction to local birds and/or interested in reducing their carbon footprint by birding relatively close to home. LAAS bird walks and field trips delve into identification, natural histories and interactions observed in the field. All are welcome on either event, but no pets or small children please. Appropriate for young bird watchers age 6 years and older. For further information contact Eleanor Osgood at email@example.com, or call (310) 839-5420. Birdwalks DO NOT require advance sign-up, just show up at the specified meeting time and place.
Every month, the Los Angeles Audubon hosts free guided birding walks for birders of all ages and skill levels. These bird walks are a great way to see the variety of wild birds in the LA area and meet fellow bird enthusiasts. No registration is required. Just bring your binoculars, field guide (if you have one) and optional camera (but please, no aggressive photography–we don’t want to scare the birds). The bird species count will be tallied at the end of the walk for your own personal records or for submission to eBird.
Binoculars are usually available for borrowing. Water and sunscreen are recommended.
Always check the Los Angeles Audubon Bird Walk Events page prior to confirm that event details have not changed.
