Birding Summary

Early this morning, at the beginning of my visit to the park, I heard an interesting bird singing. Looking for the source of the sound, I spotted a Loggerhead Shrike at the top of a tree.

It sang in the glow of the morning sun and cooperated for some photos and video.

I saw the usual cast of characters at the park today. A couple of notable appearances were the Nashville Warbler and the Orange-crowned Warbler. I sadly only heard them but didn’t get a view.
