Vote for cool bird designs on the new Euro bank notes

The Euro is getting fresh new look…and it’s between people or birds.
10 designs are up for consideration. The ECB has launched a public survey to give feedback on your favorites.
The five bird designs
Design B
This one features very detailed bird illustrations that show their natural habitat and illustrations of iconic buildings on the other side.
Design D
This one has beautiful illustrations and features a visualization of the bird's song as a security feature! (waveform and spectrogram). Amazing.
Design H
I like the multiple colors in the birds and the pretty architecture on the back
Design I
All of these are birds in flight, it's kinda neat.
Design J
I love the silhouette of the wings behind the buildings on the back.
My favorite is Design D
I love that these designs feature spectrograms of the birds vocalizations as a security feature.
Notice how it uses a waveform and spectrogram in the design. I love this so much.
European Bee-eater
Birds are the better, more interesting choice to be on bank notes, so let the European Central Bank know this by taking the survey!
The ECB bank note design survey is open until September 21, 2026.
